Role: Commercial Manager
Contract Length: Until mid – April 2026, possibility of an extension
Location: Hybrid/London – 2 days per week in offices
IR35: Inside
Pay Rate to Intermediary: Up to £529.95 per day
Security Clearance: BPSS
Spinwell is recruiting for a Commercial Manager for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE COMMERCIAL MANAGER
- Leading procurements for developments
- Contract management activities including variations, commissioning work under existing contract
- Drafting development agreement
- Negotiating prime tier 1 developers
- Liaising with stakeholders, development managers, external legal team, finance and planning, budget profile
- Lead and support procurement activities for client
- Build and manage stakeholder relationships.
- Develop procurement pipelines and manage end-to-end procurement processes.
- Provide support on above-threshold procurements.
- Assist with contract management where required.
- Collaborate with the wider procurement team.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE COMMERCIAL MANAGER
- Knowledge of public contract regulations (Procurement Act 2023)
- Excellent communication skills
- Contract Management skills
- End to end procurement experience
- Stakeholder management
- Negotiating skills
- Knowledge of construction
- Public procurements
- Development or construction experience would be beneficial
- CIPS experience or actively working towards it
- Public sector procurement experience – running end to end procurements
- Experience working with challenging stakeholders
- Property development experience would be beneficial
- Contract management experience
