Spinwell is recruiting for an IT & Software Commercial Manager for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE IT & SOFTWARE COMMERCIAL MANAGER
This is a pure transformation role, with virtually no business-as-usual activity. The postholder will play a critical role in a high-profile, high-value programme moving into Phase 3 (implementation), delivering significant commercial and financial benefits worth hundreds of millions if successfully executed.
The role sits at the intersection of technology procurement, commercial strategy, and solution integration, operating within a public sector environment while drawing heavily on private sector commercial best practice.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE IT & SOFTWARE COMMERCIAL MANAGER
- Someone with a flexible and resilient approach, capable of managing uncertainty and adapting to changing priorities.
- A good influencer with excellent communication skills (written, verbal and presentational), ability to adapt communication style and language to fit the needs of the audience.
- Highly motivated individual with a proven track record of driving delivery on a large scale or within high-risk projects and programmes and stakeholder management in a complex environment.
- Someone who can constructively challenge information.
- Strong commercial acumen and communication skills
- Effective stakeholder management experience in building positive relationships across diverse stakeholder groups; able to understand and manage multiple perspectives, build consensus and influence stakeholders.
- Comprehensive understanding of public sector procurement regulations.
- Has completed the New Transforming Public Procurement (TPP) e- training or is willing to undertake it.
- Hands on experience of managing procurements through CCS Frameworks.
- Proficient experience of leading end-to-end sourcing in a large-scale complex or high-risk programme.
- Ability to analyse risks and develop mitigation strategies.
- Experience of leading the development and delivery of complex Invitations to Tender, negotiations and contract that may require non-standard/bespoke conditions.
- Proficient MS Word and Excel skills.
- Essential – L4 CIPS or equivalent or a minimum of 5 years’ commercial experience.
