Spinwell is recruiting for an Consultation and Engagement Lead for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE CONSULTATION AND ENGAGEMENT LEAD
- Delivering Key Projects: Lead the planning and execution of inclusive public consultation and engagement activities across Council services.
- Ensuring Legal Robustness: Guarantee that all consultation processes adhere to statutory duties and can withstand legal challenge.
- Advising Stakeholders: Act as an expert advisor on engagement strategies for high-profile and sensitive local issues, working closely with senior officers and elected Members.
- Housing Engagement: Support tenant and leaseholder engagement activities and resident participation initiatives alongside Housing colleagues.
- Data & Insight: Oversee the analysis and interpretation of consultation feedback, ensuring community insights actively shape Council policy
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE CONSULTATION AND ENGAGEMENT LEAD
- Proven Track Record: Experience delivering complex public consultations and engagement projects within a local authority or large public sector setting.
- Political Sensitivity: Demonstrated ability to work effectively alongside elected Members and navigate political environments.
- Legal Knowledge: Strong grasp of statutory consultation requirements and engagement best practices.
- Strong Communicator: Excellent interpersonal and written communication skills to engage Hackney’s diverse communities and internal leadership team.
- Immediate Capability: The ability to step in, take ownership of an established workload, and deliver results independently from day one.
