Spinwell is recruiting for a STSI Support for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.

RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE STSI SUPPORT

• Manage the generation of ESS requirements, defining technical deliverables/artifacts and updating other documentation for sub-systems, including the considerations to in-service support and associated costs.
• Verify and recommend the use of technical data to support the management and maturity of engineering documentation, focusing on successful technical outcomes.
• Acts upon identified risk (such as safety, environment, support, financial) and applies the principles of risk escalation and risk transfer.
• Manage the design of a sub-system, component or process that meets the customer requirement within realistic constraints of time, cost, and performance.
• Participate and scrutinise the system’s ESS: test, verification, validation, and evaluation process.

   

  SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE STSI SUPPORT

• Hold a Science, Technology, Engineering and/or Mathematics based qualification at RQF Level 4; and
• Have experience of providing technical advice and delivery of successful electronic systems and sensors or mechatronic engineering outcomes; and
• Have technical electronic systems and sensors or mechatronic experience in in a variety of contexts; and
• With a relevant Professional body/institution related to your discipline, be professionally registered* as either:

• Engineering Technician (EngTech) or
• Registered Science Technician (RSciTech) or
• Marine Technician (MarTech) or
• Registered IT Technician (RITTech) or
• ICT Technician (ICTTech)

*Alternatively, if professionalisation registration is not held, you must hold a minimum RQF Level 6 in a Science, Technology, Engineering and/or Mathematics based discipline.
