Role: Employee Relations Advisor
Contract Length: 6 months with a possible extension
Location: Hybrid/Edinburgh or Glasgow - expected to occasionally visit one of these locations as per the requirements of the role.

Pay Rate to Intermediary: Up to £292.75 per day

Spinwell is recruiting for an Employee Relations Advisor for an excellent opportunity within the public sector.
RESPONSIBILITIES OF THE EMPLOYEE RELATIONS ADVISOR
Management of complex Employee Relations casework and people issues within client. The postholder will ensure ER cases are resolved in line with internal policy and wider employment law.
The role also has a strong HR policy focus and will be responsible for the review, benchmarking, revision and preparation for launch of both existing and new HR policies.
SKILLS/EXPERIENCE OF THE EMPLOYEE RELATIONS ADVISOR
Technical and Professional
- Proven track record of delivering within an employee relations environment, (ER Casework management e.g., attendance, disciplinary, grievances and performance).
- Chartered CIPD membership, or willing to work towards, or another relevant qualification.
Changing & Improving
- Experience of the design, development, and launch of HR policy, in line with employment law and best practice.
- Regularly reviews procedures and policies to make suitable recommendations for change.
Analysis & Making Effective Decisions
- Able to seek out/collate and analyse HR data, picking out relevant information to assist in decision making process and case resolution
Collaborating & Partnering/Building Capability for All
- Skilled at building strong relationships within own team and with all relevant stakeholders to provide an excellent service
Delivering a Quality Service
- Uses a range of suitable skills and techniques to deliver outcomes, including identifying risks and mitigating actions
